At Riamede Farm, our educational tours will engage your students’ minds while addressing various New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
Our knowledgeable staff will guide students to make connections between farming and the food they eat, outline the process by which food is grown, discuss the operation of a working apple farm, teach about pollination and plant growth, and describe how climate impacts farms and our food supply.
After the tour, students will be able to answer several essential questions:
- How do changes in climate affect crop selection?
- What factors aid or hinder plant growth?
- How can you farm responsibly while maintaining a vibrant crop?
